Netflix Expands Even Further And Land On 130 Countries

Global entertainment giant, Netflix, announced yesterday that they will now expand their company into more than 130 countries. Since its birth in 1997, it has slowly grown into the television series streaming, movie streaming, and even series producing success.

It has been live in many countries around the world for many years now, but just yesterday, they said that they are looking to expand even further, allowing more people around the world to watch and stream some of the most popular shows and movies in the world today.

Countries like Russia, India, and South Korea will now have the chance to “Netflix and chill” if they want, since they will now have access to many of the movies and television shows that are seen in the United States, as well as the many different series that are created and produced solely for Netflix alone. One of the countries left off this new expansion package, China, who will still remain without the entertainment for a while, as it takes a bit of time to work out all of the bans and blocks that the website has to go through in order to become live Also, places like North Korea, Crimea, and Syria will not have the program due to the restrictions on American companies placed by the government.

The new expansion basically triples the amount of countries that it was already in, and with that news, the company’s stock saw a major increase on the stock market just after the news was announced. Alongside the expansion plan, the company also added new languages for subtitles for the movies and shows including; Arabic, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. There are already 17 different languages on the website found in both audio and subtitled options. With the hope of expanding into China someday, they have added the Chinese for those viewers who can get around the blocks keeping them from regular viewership.

With so many new countries around the world now with the availability of Netflix, the company is looking to create new series for the website, alongside all of the returning content that they already have. The future of television viewing is already among us and it is only a matter of time before the whole entire world can easily watch anything they want just from the screen of their phone, tablet, or computer. Television and movies on the go, creating for a more entertained world.
