Singer Demi Lovato was forced to cancel her Atlantic City performance after a drug overdose, but that didn’t stop her “Lovatic” fans from celebrating her music.
Attendees of the BeachFest concert series performed many of Demi Lovato’s songs on their own, including her recent release, “Sober,” in which she revealed her relapse after six years of sobriety.
The fans hit the boardwalk in a moving tribute voicing support for the singer and her battles. This follows last week’s hashtag “#HowDemiHasHelpedMe,” where fans shared their stories after her apparent opioid overdose.
The performers quickly drew a crowd of cheering fans who expressing their love for the hospitalized singer.
Demi Lovato has spoken publicly about her struggles with mental health, and many attribute their seeking help to Demi’s openness.
The singer is currently in stable condition, but continues to be monitored in case of organ failure. Whether or not she will return to rehab is uncertain, but she has expressed desire in the past to overcome her addictions.
